A possible deal to sign Ruben Loftus-Cheek has officially fallen through!

The Hammers were hoping to agree terms but they became far too expensive at over £10 million and as a result the club has pulled the plug on a switch would have involved excessive agents fees.

However, they are hoping to get at least one more loan player in following the signing of Croatian attacking midfielder Nikola Vlasic from CSKA Moscow.

CandH reported last night that the deal was all but crossing t’s and dotting i’s ahead of the official site making the official announcement on www.whufc.com earlier this morning.

Although there have been intensive talks with Jesse Lingard over the last 36 hours that seems an unlikely deal unless Manchester United were to agree a late and reasonably priced loan deal.

However, sources inside the club have told us that they will be attempting to bring in a loan signing regardless before the window closes.
