Hammers make minds up on Wilshere

Slaven Bilic wants to bring in a new midfielder but Jack Wilshere is not currently on the Irons agenda.

The 25 year old has been regularly linked with the Irons this season but he is not in their minds given the problems they have with injury prone players.

Whilst the Arsenal and former England man seems something of a “natural” as the club look for a creative midfielder he has been ruled off the list of candidates because of an injury record which almost surpasses Andy Carroll’s.

A hairline crack in his calf bone saw him miss the end of last season and was off the pitch for the entire 2015/16 season having suffered the same injury..

Wilshere’s full injury history can be viewed at https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/jack-wilshere/verletzungen/spieler/74223 and demonstrates why the Irons are unwilling to invest in a player who has been linked with them for much of the season.

Bilic knows he needs another creative operator but will need to see Robert Snodgrass offloaded as the board keep an eye on the FFP regulations given the soaring wage bill.
