West Ham have made an initial move to sign Youssef En-Nesyri from Sevilla, according to a new report.
That is likely to be a familiar name, as he has been heavily linked with a move to the Hammers over the last two years.
En-Nesyri is currently playing for Morocco at the World Cup but Sevilla seem to believe that they would be better off without him; Spanish outlet Sport reports that they are in the market for a new centre-forward in January.
However, they need to raise funds if they are to do a deal and that has led to En-Nesyri being offered around.
He has been reduced to a bit-part role this season, making just two starts in La Liga, but he has history of being prolific, and he scored 18 goals in the league in 2020/21. In 21/22, he scored five goals.
The Irons are said to have knocked on the door, which may mean that an enquiry has been made, but it doesn’t seem like a bid has yet been tabled.
