While many West Ham players are on national duty a few Hammers have managed to get away on holiday.

Each professional football player is entitled to up to five weeks annual leave including a three-week continuous break over the summer.

Felipe Anderson has returned to his native Brazil where he has been posting photos, Frederick Alves is posting images from Mallorca while Said Benrahma is in Dubai with Manuel Lanzini in Gibraltar to get married. Many of the squad have decided to return to the UK and watch the Euro championships.

Those players not on international duty will need to report for duty at the beginning of July for CoVID and medical testing.

Following testing, the smaller Hammers squad will travel to St Andrew’s in Scotland for a pre-season training camp which will culminate with a game against Dundee United on 9th July.

Pre-season fixtures include a doubleheader of matches against EFL League Two sides Leyton Orient and Northampton, both kicking-off at 7 pm on 13tth July. The following Wednesday, 21 July, the Hammers will travel to Championship side Reading for their next friendly, which will also kick-off at 7 pm.

Moyes takes his team back to Scotland to face Celtic three days later with the new Premier League season due to get underway on the weekend of 14/15 August 2021.
