West Ham are confident that superb young prospect Domigos Quina is set to sign his first professional contract with the club next month.

Talks between the club and his advisers have been going on for several weeks and so far have proceedeed without any hitches.

Quina is unable to sign a professional contract until he reaches his 18th birthday on the 17th of next month but we understand all the signs are he will be agreeing his first senior deal in the game with the Irons are very positive.

He is rated as one of Europe’s top young prospects and has been watched by Man United, Arsenal and several Italian and Spanish outfits.

But he has settled well into the Hammers academy since arriving from Chelsea in 2016 after starting out in the game at Benfica in 2013.

We were told this evening that although there has to be a delay until his November birthday  “all discussions are looking fine.”

Quina is contracted to the club until June 2019 but the Irons are keen to tie him down to a long term deal such is his massive potential.
