According to French newspaper Lequipe, Hammers striker outcast Modibo Maiga is expected to join French Ligue 1 team Metz on loan for the season with a 3 million euros purchase option. He would become a direct replacement for Diafra Sakho who joined from Metz for an initial fee thought to be in the region of £2.5m.
