Brentford still want around £13 million for Scott Hogan and are playing a game of brinkmanship as West Ham continue to take a laid-back view of a possible deal.

There is still no agreement on a fee or personal terms for the 24 year old as the transfer window goes into its final few days.

ClaretandHugh has been told that Brentford are pushing for a minimum of £13 million but with the manager still uncertain on the player they will need to come down to make it happen buy deadline day .

Brentford are trying to screw the last penny out of the fee in an inflated market but that fails to recognise Bilic’s lukewarm approach to the deal.

Although the switch could still happen it was explained to us that the situation surrounding Robert Snodgrass’ possible switch to the London Stadium is “probably ahead of a Hogan deal.”

The Hammers board are trying to come to an agreement on the Bees front man realising that they will have more options in the summer when Diafra Sakho will also have returned from injury.

Bilic has made it clear that he believes he has precisely the squad he needs and unless the Bees come down significantly could well decide to stick with what he has.
