West Ham are currently trying to put a one year loan deal together with an option to make Brentford playmaker Said Benrahma’s stay at the club permanent should they succeed.

The 25 year old failed his medical today with after issues arose with his blood test results.

Now the Hammers are understood to have put in a deal sheet in to the League as time runs out and have until 7pm to get an arrangement in place.

The Hammers will almost certainly be in the driving seat on a loan fee for should the player go back to south west London in the current circumstances, his value will plummet in the game.

We are  likely pay in the region of £2 million to £3 million  as a loan fee and take the player until next summer when it would be hoped the medical issues would be sorted out.

The two clubs had arranged a £30 million deal before the medical which lasted over two days with the problems arising today.
