Arsenal are likely to offload the France striker as they look to complete a £50m deal for Lyon striker Alexandre Lacazette. Cross claims West Ham are willing to pay £20m plus a staggering £130,000-a-week for Giroud which would make it the biggest deal in the club’s history.A three-year contract would cost a further £2om in wages.
Giroud, who turns 30 in September, only signed a new deal in January on £120,000-a-week which takes him up until 2020. Andy Carroll is currently West Ham’s top earner on a basic of £95,000 per week although Lanzini will soon be offered a deal which is close to Carroll’s.
Although Dimi Payet was rumoured to be £125,000 while at West Ham, his basic never rose about £68,000 per week with a £25,000 per appearance bonus and other add-ons which is theory could have taken his wages to £125,000 per week but never did.
