West Ham have been reported as rejecting a crazy bid by Hertha BSC to take Hammers striker Sebastian Haller back to the Bundesliga.

The former Eintracht Frankfurt front man – a £45 million buy last summer – has been told he will be remaining at the London Stadium assuming an offer the Hammers can’t refuse is made.

But according to some reports Hertha could only offer a loan deal although the Hammers have told us that was not even on the table and had it been would have been thrown straight back at the German outfit.

As reported by ClaretandHugh some days ago the Irons are ready to hold onto Haller in the hope that he can find serious form and bring his value close to what the club paid for him.

90min claim Hertha’s offer of a two-year loan was also scoffed at by West Ham but our insider said there had been no approach at all and there would have been zero chance of a loan deal being done anyway.

He said: “We’d like to loan Harry Kane or Jamie Vardy and would have as much chance as Hertha or anyone else loaning Haller.”
