West Ham have revealed that a letter of thanks and explanation will be sent to the club legends who have been surprised that they have not received an notification they are not required at the London Stadium for the time being as the operation of the lounges are still being assessed.

ClaretandHugh raised the issue via an interview with Phil Parkes yesterday in which the legendary goalkeeper explained he had heard nothing from the club and that he was now unlikely to be a regular at the stadium.

He had told us:  ” I’ve been working in that area for about 15 years along with the other lads and none of us got a letter informing us of the decision or thanking us.”

However, the club responded this morning by telling CandH: “A letter will be sent to all of those involved explaining things and thanking them for the past work. We are assessing things at the new stadium and will be in touch with them.”
