The report in www.6ft2in.co.uk says given the size and the attendance of the London Stadium, it would be perfect for brands to lump on, with the likes of Amazon even being suggested.
West Ham United have scoffed reports that a new £100million mega deal with sponsorship deal could be the outcome of the London Development Corporations hope of West Ham landing a naming rights deal.
The report claims that combining a new sponsor with the naming rights for the London Stadium could see a £20million-a-year deal signed over five years.
Betway currently pay £10million-per-year for sponsorship alone, but with betting companies likely to be soon banned from that, the door could open.
However, a top source at the London Stadium has totally rubbished the suggestions in an exclusive comment to ClaretandHugh.
He said: “The stadium have been trying to get £4m a year since the stadium opened. NOBODY WANTS IT. There is zero chance of anybody paying £20m. The whole article is sadly drivel.”
