West Ham are expecting to take a big hit on Jordan Hugill when he finally walks away from the club after having had little chance to show what he’s got.

His only real Hammers outing was in a fund raiser for Dagenham and Redbridge last season when, whilst failing to inspire, the former Preston and North End striker did manage a goal.

Beyond that the £10 million man has made a few bench appearances making brief appearances against Brighton, Watford and Southampton towards the end of the season.

Although there have been no firm inquiries for the striker he has been linked with Queens Park Rangers after building a reputation at Deepdale as being an effective Championship striker.

However, the Irons are expecting to take a financial loss on the Middlesbrough-born 26 year old who in fact managed  just 23 goals for North End in 123 appearances.
