Hammers still keeping eye on striker

West Ham’s hopes of landing Michy Batshuayi  in a late shock loan move  look to have been killed off by the player’s desire to stay at Stamford Bridge

The Irons have never stopped tracking the player since failing with a 35 million euros bid for him ahead of his decision to join the champions.

And he was a leading name as a target for the Irons earlier in the summer.

But with the Diego Costa scenario still rumbling on, we have continued to keeping an eye on his situation although hopes are now fading a successful late move can happen.

Should the Blues find a back up striker the situation could change very late in the day but we would face competition for the playeer who marked the weekend game against Spurs with an own goal

‘Bats’ is determined to prove his point at the club he joined for around £40m but the Hammers have not given up completely despite Slaven Bilic’s insistence that a striker is not on his agenda.

The manager claimed that no more exciting signings were on the way several weeks ago before the club launched a bid for William Carvahlo.

And in the last frantic days of the window it would be unwise to rule out any late loan moves!
