Hammers striker facing dilemma

West Ham have a Chicharito problem which looks unlikely to be solved anytime soon.

The word ‘misfit’ is thrown around a little too loosely in football but sadly it seems to apply to the Mexican who has been unable to make anything like a £120k a week wage impact at the Hammers.

And at the age of 30 with a contract until 2020 it’s impossible to see how the can find, or would want to,  a way out of the club.

It seem crazy to recall the former Manchester United striker became a marquee signing at £16 million given his inability to find a role under Slaven Bilic, David Moyes or Manuel Pellegrini.

Now, currently recovering from glandular fever, he needs to find something entirely different in his locker if this isn’t going to turn into one of his most barren spells in football.

Whilst making it clear that they have no intention of selling anybody, a move for Chicharito would obviously be tempting to the Hammers.

The only show in town at one stage was reported links with LA Galaxy and were the Hammers able to offload to America, that would be a solution.

It’s a dilemma for a player who just needs games and a club paying thousands for a guy who simply doesn’t appear to be part of anybody’s script.
