West Ham United U23s will tackle a fifth pre-season fixture and the third against senior opposition in the space of seven days when they play host to Vanarama National League outfit Aldershot Town on Friday evening.

Following a 4-1 win over Loughborough University and a 2-1 defeat at Ebbsfleet United in the opening weeks of pre-season, the U23s travelled to Roots Hall last Friday night to take on Southend United which resulted in a 5-1 win. Three days later, on Monday evening, they travelled to League Two side Crawley Town which finished in a 2-1 defeat for the Hammers,

The Hammers will want to correct that aspect when they welcome Aldershot Town to Rush Green Stadium on Friday evening, their first home pre-season fixture of the campaign.

The young Hammers could feature two trialists again in the form of goalkeeper Brian Kinnear who was release by Glasgow Rangers and perhaps midfielder Toni Muhammet who replaced Bernado Rosa late on in the last game.

All eyes will also be on whether Thiery Nevers will be named within the matchday squad, he was forced to retire with a groin injury last week after scoring three goals in two games.
