The retain list published by West Ham United on their official website confirmed the release of four senior players from the West Ham first-team squad.
Andriy Yarmolenko is thought to have been the biggest earner of the four at £90,000 per week basic, followed by captain Mark Noble at a reported £50,000 per week, Ryan Fredericks is said to be on £40,000 per week while David Martin was likely to have been on a modest £20,000 week.
That’s £200,000 per week saved that can be re-invested which equates to around £10.5m of wages off the £130m annual bill.
All four players’ contracts run out on 30th June this year with £800,000 per month off the payroll from July.
David Moyes is desperately looking to strengthen his squad so the savings will be put to good use soon I am sure.
