Hammers to the fore in race for Premier League

It may have been a shocking day for the Hammers first day yesterday but for former boss Slaven Bilic, on loan Grady Diangana and Josh Cullen’s Charlton it was a very good one indeed.

Diangana was involved in the West Brom 1-0 victory over Middlesbrough at The Riverside as Slav’s outfit went two points clear at the top of the Championship ahead of Leeds United on 23 and Swansea in 22.

Meanwhile, at the Valley, Cullen again proved himself a new contract option starring in the 3-0 win over Derby County which saw the Addicks move into fifth position and the play off places.

The Addicks – promoted out of League One last season with help from Josh have – 21 points and are behind Queens Park Rangers and Preston.

Jordan Hugill though didn’t enjoy such a great afternoon for QPR though being forced to spend 90 minutes on the bench as the team clinched a fine 2-3 win over Hull City away from home.
