West Ham were left unharmed in 16the position as Forest and Everton fought out a hugely exciting 2-2 draw at the City Ground.

Hammers hearts were in their mouths for long periods with the Toffees twice going ahead before Steve Cooper’s outfit levelled and showed real grit and determination.

It meant that Everton remained in the bottom three one point behind the Hammers and Forest in 14th spot with 26 points three ahead of the us.

The result was probably the best available for the Hammers who whilst very much still in the mix will be looking for a win over Villa next weekend.

With Everton at home to Brentford, Forest at Spurs, Southampton at Manchester United and Leeds entertaining a Brighton side who looked as exciting as any in the Premier League against us, we have a real chance of getting some breathing space.

Another defeat at this stage of proceeding would be a disaster.
