Hammers wait on manager targets

West Ham boss Mauel Pellegrini and his director of football Mario Husillos will hand the board their list of player targets when  they return to London this week.

The Hammers put false stories in The Sun of Husillo’s decision to reject the Director of Football’s job to bed today when formally announcing his position on the website.

And he and the manager have been in regular contact over the last few days in deciding the list of players to hand to the board.

ClaretandHugh has learned that the manager approved the move for Lukasz Fabianski before leaving for his holiday in Chile but will return with his own list of targets.

Pellegrini is in a hurry to assemble his squad for pre-season and will turn up the pressure on the board to get his chosen candidates on board.

The Hammers showed him the list of targets they had drawn up before his appointment and he revealed that he would be giving them additional names once he was back from South America.

The manager is keen to have the majority of his squad together for pre-season ahead of the training camp in Switzerland and the pre-season games against FC Winterthur (July 8), Wycombe Wanderers (July 14), Preston (July 21), Aston Villa ( July 25) and Ipswich Town (July 28).
