The Daily Mail writes today that nine teams find themselves in a relegation scrap with three months to go until the end of the season.

Southampton, Newcastle, Crystal Palace, Brighton, Bournemouth, Aston Villa, West Ham, Watford and Norwich are all fighting to avoid relegation the report says.

On West Ham, the paper concludes: ‘The Hammers are stuck in a rut after failing to a seal a league win since January 1.

It looked as though that emphatic 4-0 win over relegation rivals Bournemouth was going to ignite their season but David Moyes’ side have struggled.

After suffering defeat by Manchester City on Wednesday they face the tough trip to league leaders Liverpool on Monday.

If they can pick up anything from Anfield it would be a huge confidence boost heading into a massive match against Southampton.

The Hammers still have to face rivals Tottenham and Chelsea, but in April will have the chance to pull clear of the drop zone with matches against Newcastle, Burnley, Norwich and Watford.  Moyes guided West Ham to Premier League safety in the 2017-18 season and the club should have enough quality to avoid the drop this time around.’
