Reports have resurfaced today that Crystal Palace are planning to make a move for West Ham winger Michail Antonio over the Summer even though he remains injured.

Palace are said to be willing to cash in on Wilfred Zaha getting up to £50m from Liverpool and would then move for Antonio who the London rivals greatly admire. Claret and Hugh understands there has been initial contact through agents in the form of an inquiry but Palace have a much lower valuation than West Ham and the Hammers would not allow him to leave on the cheap.

The Hammers wouldn’t entertain bids under £25m for Michail Antonio who was previously valued at £32m in 2017. The final say would come down to the new incoming West Ham manager but players often have a way to force through moves when their heads have been turned.

In February Moyes dropped Antonio because he was late for a team meeting.  At the manager said: “For disciplinary reasons he wasn’t involved. He turned up late this morning for a meeting and it wasn’t the first time. I am not having it at the club.”
