West Ham would have a fight on their hands to have a chance to sign Ruben Loftus-Cheek from Chelsea with more than eight clubs interested including West Ham according to the Daily Telegraph

Loftus-Cheek has been left out of Frank Lampard’s last two matchday squads, which has prompted a host of clubs to check on his potential availability on a season-long loan.

Gary Neville speaking to the Independent believes Chelsea will cash in and sell Ruben Loftus-Cheek for £25 million to help balance their books after a buying spree.

After missing more than a year following an achilles injury, Loftus-Cheek is looking to recapture the exciting form he displayed towards the end of Maurizio Sarri’s reign at Stamford Bridge. Neville believes his time is running out and that the Blues will be tempted to sell soon, even though the 24-year-old has four years remaining on his contract.

West Ham have a limited transfer budget so a permanent transfer would seem unlikely as they prioritise defensive targets.
