Happy Bilic reckons that was a positive week!

Slaven Bilic claims to be a happy man because he appears to believe his team is giving him everything!

Speaking to the official website he, not unnaturally, avoided putting emphasis on the Palace  97th minute equaliser  claiming instead the team is giving its best.

If that’s the case then there may well be cause for worry. Gilding and lily are the words that come to mind as the ‘spin machine’ goes into overdrive.

Discussing the game the manager declared: “The team is giving its best, it showed a lot of energy, spirit and togetherness after the game on Wednesday.”

And turning to the Palace game he said: “We had the momentum and everything. We lost it a bit when it went to 2-1, but we resisted and what I am saying is that everything was there for us to take all three points.

“We can talk about the negativity of the last seconds of the game, but that’s it.

“We can look at this as a positive week, but at this moment we are gutted because of the manner in which we conceded the second goal.

“Yes, we are disappointed and we unhappy with our management of the game, but I can’t be unhappy with the performance of the boys.

“As long as I see my team giving everything I’m happy.”
