Harry in the jungle – Day two
Redknapp told one story that he thought the royal might be a football player and just acknowledged him in a physiotherapist’s office. with an “All right mate” and went back to his paper. “I thought, ‘I know him from somewhere, that geezer, did he used to play for me?’,” he said. He later asked someone who the man was and was told it was Prince Harry.
In another Royal story he told: “I walked in, and there’s a girl sitting there with a fella.They stand up and we all say hello but I miss her name, so I sit down facing this young girl and we start chatting. I’m telling this girl the story and she’s laughing and said ‘My grandmother loves horse racing’, I said ‘Really?’ she said ‘Yeah, last year when she won the Gold Cup at Ascot’.
“And then it came to me who she was, it was Princess Beatrice. When we went out Jamie went, ‘You didn’t have a clue who she was did you?’ and I said ‘No, not a clue.’
In other stories, Harry revealed his wife calls him ‘Mr Pastry’ because he is useless at everything, he used to think he was a good driver until he ran over his wife, he watered his wife plants with a jet washer cutting off the heads of all the flowers and he has no sense of smell giving him the job of clearing out the jungle toilet each day.
