As the Hammers prepare for the big European final, the recruitment team at the London Stadium is working hard to devise a plan to emulate similar success next season.

By looking at the current West Ham squad, it’s clear what they need: an elite number 6 midfielder (since Declan Rice will be on his way out) and a winger who can provide an abundance of pace on the flank.

According to The Daily Mail, they may have the perfect plan to address the latter issue. The report claims that West Ham really are interested in signing Leicester City winger Harvey Barnes.

This weekend will be the perfect time for the Hammers to scout Barnes properly, since it is the probably the last fixture between the two sides for a while. Leicester City who are in all sorts of trouble, so they will field their strongest eleven of which Barnes is definitely a part .

Barnes has played 33 times in the Premier League this season and returned 13 goals which is an incredible return in that struggling Leicester side. His versatility makes him an extremely useful squad player, as he can play any position in the front line.

Meanwhle as reported on CandH Myes has made it clear he wants to sign British players.
