West Ham are set to struggle tinding a replacement should they decide that David Moyes will be fired should results not pick up after the enforced winter break.

We have reported in the past that a top agent well known to Claret and Hugh believes they hve to show ambition by moving for top names.

Pochettino and Tuchel are out of work and we were told: “The Hammers have to show their ambition by at least going for one of the other or both.”

The reality is that we are more likely to be looking at the likes of Sean Dyche and Steven Gerrard – sacked from Burnley and Asron Villa respectively.

Noses tend to get turned up at the likes of Dyche but he proved far more successful at Turf Moor on a tight budget than the club had any right to expect.

Gerrard needs to learn his trade elsewhere before landing another big club but there is one manager out there – albeit in work who catches the eye more than any other for me at least.

His name is Thomas Frank – over at Brentford – but a move would mean we would need to pay the two and a half years on his current contract were we to be successful.

I reckon it would be money well spent.
