West Ham transfer target Scott Hogan has returned to Brentford’s first team after coming on as a 64th substitute this afternoon although the Bee’s are now four nil down against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge in the FA cup fourth round.

Hogan has been missing for the last two Championship games against Newcastle and Wigan, both of which Brentford have lost after the manager claimed his head had been turned by telephone calls from agents. He was also missing in 5-1 win over Eastleigh in the FA Cup third round on 7th January.

Hogan’s last start for the Bee’s came on the 2nd January when he scored in 54th minute in a 3-1 win over Gianfranco Zola’s Birmingham City.

Brentford are holding for their initial valuation of £15m but could be forced to accept less on Tuesday’s transfer deadline day as their financial debts mount in the Championship. Earlier today we revealed that Brentford have a wage bill of over £17m despite having a turn over of less than £10m.
