West Ham will wait until after the FA Cup tie against Gillingham before deciding whether Nathan Holland will remain as part of the first team squad or be allowed to go out on loan.

There has been a lot of interest in the left winger from Championship and League One clubs but the Irons won’t be rushed into a decision.

The Hammers travel to Kent for the game against the Gills on January 5 when the ongoing speculation over the managerial situation could be settled.

Holland has just forced his way into the squad under Pellegrini and ClaretandHugh has learned that a number of clubs have made formal inquiries about his availability.

Championship outfits Blackburn and Middlesbrough are both keen whist League One promotion chasers are also believed to have asked the Hammers for permission to take him.

Meanwhile, we understand that Under 23 striker Xande Silva is training alone after his recent bowel surgery with no time projected for his likely return.
