Hughie hands out his marks

Fabianski: His 300th Premier League game and marked it with one brilliant save. Beyond that one of the easiest nights of his life 7

Coufal: Set up the assist for Bowen’s first headed goal and looking a lot more like his old self 7

Diop: Had one of his better games at heart of defence but still has the odd mistake in him as he showed in the second half 7

Dawson: Didn’t put a foot wrong although it wasn’t the fiercest attack he will ever face 7+

Cresswell: Eased himself into the game and by the end was looking the player we all know him to be. Welcome back Cress 7

Rice: Here there and everywhere again as the Irons bossed midfield 7+

Lanzini: Some wonderful balls early on but played deeper in Soucek’s absence. He put a couple of shots over the top but a very good game 8

Fornals: Only intermittent action from the Spaniard but was involved in one or two good build ups 6

Vlasic: Gets better as the games tick by and once again showed himself to be so hard to knock off the ball. He occasionally goes down a little easily but he is looking a very decent buy. Unlucky to be subbed for Masuaku 7

Bowen: Outstanding all night long – two allowed goals and one offside and he was the spark from which most of our offensive play was generated 10

Antonio: Heavily marked – probably after the four he scored at Norwich last season – but he is looking ok again 6+

Subs:

Masuaku: On for Vlasic to tighten things up in front of Cress presumably. Didn’t do a lot and a hard decision to understand 3

Yarmolenko: Very late arrival No rating
