Hughie hands out the marks

Fabianski: No chance with the goals and not helped by some sloppy defending 6

Coufal Probably his best game since returning from injury. Defended well and some fine forward movement with passes always finding their man 7+

Diop: Caught the wrong side of his man in the build up to the penalty but a foul should have been given at that point rather than when play had continued into the box. 5

Dawson: Badly caught out by pace in the lead up to the penalty and three goals conceded tells its own story. Not his day 5

Masuaku: Plenty of crossing attempts into the box but once again no real impact on a game that looked more his level at the start 4

Rice: Poor first half by his standards and received a yellow which on the totting up basis will mean he misses Vicarage Road. Better in the second half 7

Soucek: Once again confined to a defensive role apart from set pieces and I believe this is a big part of our problem at the moment 5

Bowen: Far better in the second half when he went back to his favoured wing position but he never leaves anything on the pitch 7

Fornals: Anonymous and subbed 4

Vlasic: Once again subbed ridiculously at half time. He was really on the case and causing  defensive worries, Felt sorry for the guy 7+

Benrahma: Nice goal but he isn’t providing his reputation for tricks and invention. We will miss him when he clears of to Afcon next month though 6

Subs:

Antonio: Arrived after the interval, scored his goal and was a real problem to the defence. Best game in ages 8+

Lanzini: Same old same old nothing much to speak of 5

Yarmolenko: Same old same old – nothing to speak of at all 1
