Hughie hands out his points

Fabianski: Zero chance with the Kehrer own goal but a great save from Kane near the end. Safe most of the night 7

Coufal Solid performance but if only he could improve his crosses into the box! 7

Kehrer: Can’t really be blamed for the own goal. Someone had to get a boot an impossible cross and unfortunately it was his. Great block near the end and generally competent 7

Zouma: Very steady performance 7

Cresswell: Saw a penalty decision reversed by VAR with the ball hitting his head before his arm and was very decent before coming off injured at the end 7

Rice: Coming right back to his best and saw one great shot well saved. Very good stuff Dec 8

Soucek Fabulous goal  and really effective in his advanced role. Good that Moysie has got the message 8

Bowen: Livelier than in recent performances and unlucky not to get something on a last minute attack .Improved performance 6+

Fornals: Had his moments but will be cheesed – like the rest of us = at sending one great chance well over the top from relatively close in 6+

Benrahma: Threatening whenever on the ball and always linking particularly well with Antonio. Made way for Paqueta 7+

Antonio: Quite brilliant assist for Soucek’s goal and worked his socks off all night. Man of the match for Hammers in our opinion 9

Subs

Paqueta: One piece of miscommunication = which could have led to a goal – can be forgiven as he needs to train with his colleagues to be at his best. Nothing spectacular but did absolutely everything correctly when it came his way 7

Ogbonna: On late – a little rusty – but good to see the big fella back 6

Emersaon: On for a few minutes near the end and looked a competent addition to the squad 6
