Niall McDonald hands out the marks
Hart: Saved the only shot Swansea got on target. Showed us all what Pep was talking about with his distribution 4
Zabaleta: I wonder what he makes of all this 5
Reid: Lots of sideways and backwards passing, although not the only guilty party 5
Fonte: Comfortable in the face of not much attacking threat it must be said 5
Cresswell: Plenty of crosses, none quite hitting the mark 5
Noble: Come in number 16, your time is up 3
Kouyate: Looked happier sitting in once Lanzini came on 5
Ayew: No impact on the left or the right. One crumb of comfort for Swansea fans was remembering they sold him to us for £20m 3
Antonio: Looked nowhere near fit, played well within himself 5
Carroll: Like him or not, in first half AC was one of the few who seemed capable of seeing a pass and playing one 5
Hernandez: Waited 42 mins for the first ball played anywhere near the 6-yard box. For all the boos when subbed, he’d done virtually nothing 4
Subs Lanzini: Sharp of thought and movement – stood out a mile 6
Sakho: Big Sam would have been purring to see AC and Sak back together. Kept his manager in a job for now, perhaps 6
Masuaku: Second quality cross in a week and an even more vital goal came from it 6
