Gonzo hands out the ratings
Fabianski:6 Almost nothing to do for most of the game.
Coufal:6 Very committed defending, seemed to enjoy the attritional opening to the game by Everton. Gave the ball away frequently but always tries to atone for his errors. Could not cope once Gray switched wings.
Kehrer:6 Played as the left central defender allowing Zouma to move to his favoured position. The pair have the makings of a very good partnership. Could have been more decisive for the Maupay opener.
Zouma:7 Excellent positional play and some good clearances and interceptions.
Cresswell:6 Took a knock early on and dealt well with Gordon & Gray who switched positions. Defended well.
Rice:6 Stood up to the challenge posed by the giant Onana. Became more influential as the first half progressed. Was outnumbered as Everton began to swarm in the second half.
Soucek:4 Horrible start to the game and almost gifted Everton a goal. A few headers and tackles but too frequently a passenger in midfield.
Fornals:5 No joy out wide against Patterson. Tucked inside to help out Rice and Soucek against Onana but not quick or tricky enough on the left wing.
Paqueta:4 Not quite up to the pace of the Premier League in possession but clearly enjoys a scrap. Unable to impact the game.
Bowen:6 Started brightly creating a chance which was cleared by Coady. Had a chance at the start of the second half. Clearly trying to find form
Antonio:6 Looked fresh and gave the Everton defence plenty of problems, isolated for much of the first half.
Benrahma:6 On for Fornals. Provided the best West Ham moment of the match when a curling left foot shot hit the post.
Cornet:6 Replaces Paqueta, forced Begokic into a save. One of the few players with pace and intent to run behind the opposition defence.
Scamacca:5 Played the last 20 mins in place of Antonio and was similarly left to fend for himself.
Emerson: Replaced Cresswell for the final 2 mins
