Gonzo hands out his marks
Fabianski:  Constantly under pressure and forced to kick by Arsenal’s pressing. Spectacular save from Tierney and a penalty save. 10
Coufal:  Sent off. Good concentration and blocking. Unlucky with the second yellow and penalty. 6
Dawson:  Thwarted a certain goal with a magnificent tackle on Martinelli then repeated it against Xaka later in the half. Couldn’t keep up such high standards in the second half. 9
Diop: Had to deal with persistent back passes from Masuaku as Arsenal pinned Hammers into their own half. 6
Masuaku:  Had the hardest gig of the evening trying to mark Saka. 5
Rice:  Worked his socks off and as usual looked like West Ham’s best player for parts of the match. Clearly frustrated with a lack of quality around him. 7
Soucek:  Played most of the first half just outside the 18 yard box such was Arsenal’s dominance but tackled superbly.  6
Bowen:  Full of energy and running, a massive help to Coufal. Threatened the Arsenal goal during a rare West Ham attack.  7
Lanzini:  Along with Rice he was in a minority asking for the ball to feet but unable to impact the game.  6
Fornals:  Almost scored in the first half with a delicious curled effort. Anonymous for large parts. 5
Antonio: Too many indulgent dribbles with no pass to teammates. Moyes swapped him to the wing. 5
Subs
Benrahma:  On for Lanzini with 15 mins to go. Gave the ball away for Arsenal’s second goal. Harsh to give him a rating based on such a short stint but he wasn’t too clever.
Ashby: On late and did nothing wrong 5
