Hughie hands out his marks

Fabianski: Quiet afternoon until the last 10 minutes or so when he saved a fierce effort from Nevez and was in command when balls were pumped into the mix 7

Johnson: No dramatics and defended well when called on but his crossing into the box left something to be desired 6

Dawson: The usual “steady Eddie” performance at heart of defence although Wolves aren’t the most attacking of sides 7

Zouma: Always looked comfortable apart from one hurried clearance for a corner but one block as Wolves went for one on one with Fab was quite magnificent 7+

Cresswell: Set up Antonio for the assist which led to Soucek’s 27th birthday goal and had a very good game at front and back 7+

Rice: Magnificent all over the park – hit the post and never wasted a ball 9

Soucek: Stabbed home the winner, got forward more and although not back to his very best looked more like the midfielder we know 7

Lanzini: Made a telling pass or one that counted most times he was on the ball and looks the natural starting player ahead of Benny at moment 7

Fornals: Asked to play down the left side and did a good job for the most part 7

Bowen: Very lively and linked well with Mikey in a clear tactical change from Moyes 7+

Antonio: Was given help with Bowen alongside and thrived as a result. Much more threatening than usual and set up Tomas for the goal. much better performance 8
