Stoke manager Mark Hughes could face FA sanctions after he verbally abused his former player Marko Arnautovic as he was substituted.  The Stoke manager appears to say  “f*****g ungrateful f****r” as he left the pitch.

Hughes could face FA disciplinary chiefs for misconduct or bringing the game into disrepute. BBC Match of the day producers decided to leave the incident in their coverage where lip readers could clearly make out the insult.

Arnauotvic was constantly abused by Stoke fans throughout the game which led him to celebrate his goal against his former club as well as making the crossed hammers sign and touching the West Ham badge on his shirt to show them he is a proud Hammer.

The goalscorer went straight down the tunnel after his substitution as Stoke fans threw items at him as he came off the pitch.

Mark Hughes is now the 1/4 odds-on favourite for the sack as a Premier League manager.
