International break but could the Premier League carry on?

It’s international fortnight and that’s a roll of the eyes moment for most of us

First and foremost, however,  we wish every one of our lads the absolute best and they they will all put in top performances.

It is of course the pinnacle of their careers to get an international call but there is the ever present worry of injury which is just one reason to become irritated and anxious over the international break.

The other of course is that many will believe that with the season only eight games old, two international intervals within a month is a cause to bang one’s head against the wall.

So should we decide the continuation would put some clubs at a disadvantage should we instead see their frequency sorted a little better.

There was a suggestion on the ClaretandHugh Facebook page that it may be an idea to allow the Premier League to continue regardless by using squad players to fill the odd gap here and there.

It is of course a Fifa regulation that everything stops fr internationals and we accept hat is unlikely to be changed but is it a bad regulation?

We can see problems emerging with those who have a bigger number of calls on their players but it’s a really nice idea for those who are bored witless for two weeks – be interested to hear your views.
