Ipswich striker set for switch to Hammers
Ipswich Town striker Sam Ford is set to join West Ham following his recent trial spells with the Hammers.
Ford’s two-year scholarship with Ipswich is up at the end of the season. The 17-year-old is said to have impressed West Ham, where former Ipswich youth coach Liam Manning is now on the staff.
Last month Ford scored while playing for the West Ham under 18’s in a 2-1 victory over Aston Villa and he scored again during the U21’s match against Wolves.
