Iron can leave when replacement found

West Ham remain keen to bring in Hull City’s Robert Snodgrass as Roma hover over Sofiane Feghouli.

The Italian club are keen to land the Algerian winger although the Irons won’t let the player go until they have found a suitable replacement.

And Snodgrass, 29, with 12 goals in all outings this season, is the player the Irons want as they continue with the “buy British” policy.

Roma understand that until a replacement is found for their Hammer target there is little point in making a formal approach although we are happy to consider offers for the player.

The Hammers have made one £3 million bid for the player and are ready to go as high as £5 million but have laughed off suggestions that they could be interested in throwing Ashley Fletcher into a player plus cash deal.
