Irons boss facing first big recruitment test

David Moyes is facing his first real recruitment test since becoming West Ham manager for the second time around!

And as things stand right now there remain worries as he bids to find a central defender and striker.

Now with three weeks of the window left and a central defender and striker urgently need he appears to be a little under the cosh by declaring he can give no guarantees anyone will be signed.

Clearly there is probably not the money available that he would like and that’s a problem but beyond the top four  and those who are selling to buy – Villa and Saints – it’s the same story across the league.

Moyes has always been something of a dab hand in reaching into the Championship and obscure areas to come up with the goods and his recruitment methods are now facing a big test.

Let’s hope he has the answers we all want.Fingers crossed.
