West Ham are the least hopeful fanbase hopeful ahead of the Premier League season.
In a survey conducted by the influential media outlet vThe Athletic just 8.8% of West Ham supporters said they felt optimistic ahead the 2020/2021 season putting the Hammers in 20th and last place by a very long way.
Promoted West Brom were the second least optimistic but still registered 37.9% of supporters who had a positive outlook.
Southampton came out tops with 98.9% feeling optimistic followed Chelsea in second place with 97.8%
Many West Ham supporters have turned on the board since the departure of Grady Diangana and no signings beyond converting the loan of Tomas Soucek to a permanent addition.
Most rival Premier League clubs have spent pushing signing transfers over £1 billion.
Many Hammers fans feel that that the club is heading for another relegation dog fight before a ball has even been kicked and unrest against the board is probably now at an all-time high.
Only a win today is likely to soften some supporters attitudes with fixtures against Arsenal, Leicester City, Wolves Spurs and, Manchester City completing the most gruelling of starts for the Hammers.
