Irons hoping to halt Villa record bid

West Ham need to stop Aston Villa achieving a record they have failed to equal for 20 years if they are to win in the midlands tonight.

For after a run of three consecutive Premier League home defeats in which they conceded nine goals, Villa have kept a clean sheet in each of their last three matches at Villa Park.

They last kept four straight PL home clean sheets in October 2001.

Villa’s Bertrand Traore has scored in each of his last two PL appearances at Villa Park. The last Villa player to score in three in a row at home was Darren Bent in November 2011.

However, David Moyes will be looking to keep his own great run going being unbeaten in his last nine PL matches against Villa (W4 D5).

However, he has only registered one league double over Villa, with Manchester United in 2013/14.

Plenty of sub plots to the hoped for three points!
