Irons in trouble if Moyes is serious

Like most managers David Moyes often uses verbal shorthand rather than explain himself fully.

We are hoping he was doing that in his latest declaration on the summer transfer market when he claimed he was hoping to bring in a “couple” of players.

It’s a word we have all used at times when actually discussing several and we can only keep our fingers crossed that is what the manager intended.

Currently we are looking at a Hammers squad where Yarmo and Fredericks are on frees, Nobes is of course retiring and there are  others the wrong side of 30.

Alex Kral is on his way back to Russia from loan and neither Arthur Masuaku or Nikola Vlasic are good enough.

We are light at left back, in midfield and up front and although Moyes rightly insists we have a very good side it certainly needs more than a “couple” in during this summer.

Fingers crossed we have read this right because otherwise we might be in trouble if the boss is serious.
