Masuaku could be back in action

It still comes as a pleasant shock to the system to realise that the we haven’t lost to Liverpool in the last three encounters.

Along the way we have scored seven times against the scousers and that there is a special reason for wanting to sort them again.

Just as we stopped smashed Spurs’  Title hopes we now have the opportunity to make a dent in Liverpool’s top four finishing hopes.

Last season we completed a double over the Reds scoring five goals in the process whilst this year we grabbed a 2-2 draw at Anfield when in a previously thoroughly depressing run of form.

Liverpool sit in third place but a defeat with Manchester City and Manchester City and Arsenal lurking within hitting distance could create a lot of pressure on Jurgen Klopp’s side.

Arthur Masuaku is likely to be fit to return for the Hammers and although Bilic is usually happy to stick with a winning side he will be without Cheik Kouyate anyway who heads for surgery on his wrist.

And it’s more than feasible that may choose to make the Masuaku decision along the way given the left back’s outstanding form since replacing Cresswell.
