Everton full-back Leighton Baines may recover in time to meet the Hammers in the Goodison Park clash next weekend.
Scans on the defender’s hamstring injury have shown the injury is not as serious as first feared after he withdrew from the England squad after sustaining the problem in training.
He will miss England’s matches against Slovenia tonight and is unavailable for the match againtScotland on Tuesday but there’s a fifty fifty chance the Hammers will be faced with him.
The Everton website said: “He will continue to be monitored by our medical team and, although he remains a doubt for next Saturday, he has not yet been ruled out of the game”
