Irons takeover talk has gone quiet

Well Christmas is not too far so if that takeover which was so widely  rumoured on Twitter and elsewhere is to happen it better do so fairly quickly.

Whatever fans may or may not feel about the club’s ownership it appears from everything we’ve seen since the summer is pointing to them remaining in place for some time to come.

No doubt those responsible for breaking the story in the first place – one of them  glorying in the name of Secret Agent – may well claim that we may have entered a period of exclusivity or non disclosure given that he/she claimed the deal will be done by the festive season.

Should that be the case it’s surprising that it hasn’t been mentioned anywhere.

The truth is, however, that a speculated third bid from a reported American outfit – which itself was widely reported – – has not materialised which it would have needed to were any deal to be on the cards.

We will of course be tracking any new rumours and speculation but the the summer always seemed a case of speculation over reality.
