West Ham – clearly troubled by the provocative noises coming out of the Frankfurt Eintracht boardroom – have written to Uefa expressing their concerns about ticketless fans travelling to London for Thursday night’s huge match.
His various comments as reported here yesterday and today have been inflammatory, unneccessary and even dangerous as the big match approaches
And a Hammers source speaking to CandH exclusively explained that the club had now written to Uefa as a result of the various statements coming out of Frankfurt.
He said: “We have written to UEFA asking them to urge away supporters not to come without tickets.
There will be a huge police presence, so we do not expect any trouble. Their president’s comments have been most unhelpful and we imagine its him trying to get in his fans good books.
NO tickets went on general sale, so we can’t see how any away fans can be in home areas other than by resells from home supporters. We expect that occurrence to be minimal.”
