Irons wingers await their fate

Sofiane Feghouli looks the most likely next departure from the club as Slaven Bilic’s search for a speedy winger continues.

With moves for Adama Traore and Henry Onyekuru still very much underway, the  question is whether the Algerian or Robert Snodgrass is the more likely departure from the London Stadium.

It could be both of course but ClaretandHugh understands that Feghouli is marginal favourite as both of Traore and Onyekuru are closest in style of play to the Alererian than Snodgrass.

Should that turn out to be the case the 27 year old would follow Jonathan Calleri, Alvaro Arbeloa, Gokhan Tore,  Sam Westley, Reece Oxford, Raphael Spiegel and Havard Nordtveit with some no gone permanently and others moved out on loan.r

Italian outfit Roma remain interest in him at around £8 million but, like ourselves in the case of the strikers, they are having to wait until the Hammers land their own targets.

A source said: ” The manager would like a quick and strong winger but our focus – as has been the case since the start of the summer – is on strikers.”
