News that Robert Snodgrass is suffering from a back disc problem might sound terminal for the Scotsman this season but that might not the case.

Other players who have suffered similar back problems suggest all is not lost and a combination of rest and pain killers can quickly get a player patched up and playing again,
Gareth Bale suffered from a back problem with a budging disc while at Real Madrid but played through it, John Terry also suffered from herniated (slipped) disc at Chelsea which required key hold surgery.
Snodgrass is not thought to require surgery but it remains to be seen whether he can recover and get match kit before the end of the season in four weeks time in a race against time.
